Polyester Round Sling Capacity Chart
Working load limits for every endless polyester round sling we sell, from the purple SP-300 to the black SP-9000. Each row shows the jacket color, the vertical, choker and basket capacity in pounds, and a link to that sling in every length.
Our round slings are made in the USA from American-made polyester fiber with two color-coded jackets and meet or exceed ASME B30.9.
Safety first: Never exceed the working load limit (WLL). Ratings shown are the manufacturer ratings listed on our product pages; always follow the WLL marked on the shackle or sling tag, which governs. Inspect all rigging before each use and remove damaged gear from service. Sling angle and hitch reduce capacity, so do not rig below 30°.

Basket ratings are for a vertical basket hitch. Capacity drops as the sling angle flattens; do not rig below 30°.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the round sling colors mean?
Round sling jackets are color coded by capacity, so the color helps identify the sling at a glance. Always confirm the rating on the sling tag: on our slings several capacities share an orange jacket, and the two highest capacities are both black.
What is the capacity of a purple round sling?
Our purple endless polyester round sling (SP-300) is rated 3,000 lbs vertical, 2,400 lbs choker and 6,000 lbs basket.
Does round sling length change the capacity?
No. Every length of the same round sling carries the same rating; capacity depends on the sling model and the hitch.
Where should I not use polyester round slings?
Polyester round slings are not recommended for use with ethers or alkalis. Protect them from sharp edges and inspect the jacket before each lift.
