Inspection & Safety

Field Application & Multi-Leg Rigging Guidelines: Anchor (bow) shackles feature a rounded 1.03″ inside bow width (Dimension E) and 1.44″ inside length (Dimension C) so they can accommodate multiple sling legs, collector rings, or side-loading applications (subject to Crosby’s published side-loading angle reduction chart: 100% WLL in-line at 0°–5°, 70% WLL from 6° to 45°, and 50% WLL from 46° to 90°). Screw pin anchor shackles (G-209) are ideal for temporary or frequently reconfigured rigging setups. Always tighten the 7/16″ (0.44″) alloy screw pin firmly before every lift and position the shackle so a moving sling or load line does not rub across the pin and cause it to back out; for permanent, long-term, or high-vibration installations where the load may slide on the pin, select the matching Crosby G-2130 Bolt Type Anchor Shackle with nut and cotter pin.
