Choosing this sling

Choose a 4 leg bridle for square or rectangular loads with four pick points. Thimbles protect each eye from wear and crushing. With no hooks, the thimble eyes shackle directly to lifting lugs or padeyes; thimble eyes will not pass through each other, so use a shackle to choke. WLL depends on the sling angle, measured from horizontal: flatter legs carry more tension, so capacity drops from 19 tons at 60° to 11 tons at 30°. Do not rig below 30°.
